Site Rules

1. Be kind to one another.
Sanctuary is intended as a community as well as a roleplay, and communities thrive on communication. If you take issue with something someone else has said or done, try talking it out with the other party.

2. No tolerance for intolerance.
Sanctuary is, above all, a community that strives for tolerance. As such, we do not tolerate intolerance; whether ic or ooc, homophobia, transphobia, nazism, and ableism (as well as any other form of discrimination not listed here) are not welcome here.

3. No gods, no masters.
We're all equals here. The site coordinators do work behind the scenes and handle general site maintenance, but they're no more or less important than anyone else, and shouldn't be treated any differently.

4. Keep it clean.
Moderate language is allowed both ic and ooc, but please remember there are minors here. As such, NSFW content should be kept in the appropriate channels. In addition, we ask that you tag graphic or potentially triggering content with a content warning.

1. No godmodding. You control only your own characters, no one else's.
2. Posts must be in third person, though both past and present tense are acceptable.
3. Please do your best to use proper grammar and spelling in your posts. In addition, we encourage you to avoid single-sentence posts where possible.
4. At present, there is no character limit. That said, please only make as many characters as you think you're able to handle.
5. No one is perfect. Everyone has flaws, and that should be reflected in roleplay. Basically, your character can't be super perfect and good at everything all the time, and they definitely don't know everything.
6. Interaction with StarClan or equivalent ancestors is not restricted (so long as the cat in question has the relevant traits or rank), but any prophecies or plots that rely heavily on divine intervention should be run past the coordinators beforehand.

[Temporary Note: While we're still in our early stages, you're allowed to port over characters you've had on other sites; but at this point any higher rank positions they might have held won't carry over. That doesn't mean they aren't eligible for those positions in the future, though!]
